The world's leading private security organization, G4S, has an immediate job opportunity for a Scheduling Center Operator/Dispatch. As a Scheduling Center Operator/Dispatch, you will provide customer and employees with a central hub to contact for scheduling requirements, emergency response coverage and any other scheduling and post coverage requirements at all hours.  The Operator serves as the customer support link between our customers, our local offices, and the contract guard force.

Specific Duties and Essential Function




  • Answering phones; operate IP based telephone system

  • Call logging; data entry

  • Scheduling Officers; managing service requests

  • Follow proper notification/escalation procedures

  • Operations support; routing of call information to appropriate personnel

Job Requirements

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required




  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing



Type and Length of Specific Experience Required




  • Must possess one or more of the following:
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in related field (call center, guard force management, or command/control center)

    • College degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Business Administration coupled with 2 years minimum work experience with direct customer interaction

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Active listening skills

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Attention to detail



Other




  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States

  • Must have demonstrated ability to manage schedules, telephone equipment and computer systems

  • Must able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

  • Must not use illegal drugs. Must submit to a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).

  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable

  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment:  Office; minimal to no exposure to extreme temperatures is anticipated



Major activity:  Working on PC and using telephone while sitting
