As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the client facility during a specific shift.  The Shift Supervisor ensures contract compliance by regularly inspecting the post and facility assigned, as well as supervising security staff, and conducting performance evaluations; and will act as the senior contractor security officer on duty in the absence of the security operations Site Supervisor.  Other duties include, but are not limited to, safety direction, quality assurance, planning, organizing, directing and controlling the security team during normal and emergency operations.

Specific Duties and Essential Functions




  • Lead and manage security team. Oversee staffing, scheduling, and on-site training for security officers. Performance evaluation, recognition, disciplining, and mentoring officers

  • Coordinate with client

  • Ensure quality assurance and contract compliance by regularly inspecting posts, conducting drills, and testing

  • Through knowledge and understanding of regulations and policies

  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting

  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities and crash investigations

  • Provide assistance to site visitors and client employees in a courteous and professional manner

  • Safety process and injury management

Job Requirements

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required




  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing

  • Must be possess, or be able to obtain, a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)

  • Must possess a current and valid driver's license if driving a G4S or client vehicle



Type and Length of Specific Experience Required




  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of verifiable work experience as one of the following;

    • Police officer 

    • Active-duty military, with minimum 3 years of patrol or field experience, to include a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.

  • Must be at least 21 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States

  • Must be able to work flexible schedules

  • Must be able to work above and beyond scheduled hours during an emergency

  • Must submit to a pre-employment drug test

  • Must submit to an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable

  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Environment:  Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat
